Just an unsolicited charity fundraising phone call - might be useful for understanding how the sales pitch is structured. Over the years I have had a few variants of this call from different charities I support: they like to stick to the same script structure. If you know how they are going to approach you, you are better prepared to decline their advances, rather than feeling morally blackmailed into tipping more dosh into their hands / hats / coffers / ever-gaping maws. I am in favour of donating to charity but I believe this should be my choice. I don't appreciate charities hassling me for more cash. Date of call: 28th November 2012.
